Terms of Service
Medical Supporter terms covering cross-border medical coordination, second opinions, appointments, visa support, fees, refunds, limitations of liability, and Japanese governing law.

1. Scope
These terms apply when you use https://medicalsupporter.org, inquiry forms, communication channels, and cross-border medical coordination services provided by 新義豊株式会社 (Medical Supporter). By using the site or services, you agree to these terms.
2. Services
We provide administrative support such as medical information organization, record translation coordination, matching with medical institutions, second-opinion arrangements, appointments, medical visa assistance, travel and lodging coordination, interpretation, and clinic accompaniment. The exact scope follows the quotation, agreement, or written confirmation.
3. No medical diagnosis by us
Medical Supporter is not a hospital and does not replace physician diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. All medical judgments, indications, risks, outcomes, and treatment decisions are the responsibility of licensed physicians and receiving medical institutions.
4. Your responsibilities
You must provide truthful, complete, and current information, confirm that records may lawfully be shared with us and relevant medical institutions, pay fees on time, and comply with Japanese law, hospital rules, visa rules, and immigration requirements. Incomplete or delayed information may affect assessment, booking, or travel arrangements.
5. Fees, payment, and refunds
Service fees, hospital charges, translation, interpretation, travel, lodging, visa, and third-party costs follow quotations or invoices from medical institutions. Translation, bookings, administrative work already started, payment processing fees, and non-refundable hospital items may not be refundable. Specific refund terms follow the written quotation or agreement.
An eligible first-time Medical Supporter user receives a one-time grant of three complimentary medical-institution contact credits. Free and purchased credits are recorded and managed separately. Free credits never convert to a paid plan and do not trigger any automatic purchase, renewal, or charge. They have no purchase price and cannot be transferred, redeemed or refunded for cash, or used for other services. We may verify eligibility and cancel complimentary credits obtained through duplicate registration or abuse.
When purchasing is available in My Page, users may make a one-time card purchase of call credits through Stripe; there is no automatic renewal or charge. Each payment creates a separate credit lot valid for 180 days from that lot’s original issue or grant date. No later purchase, use, release of reserved credits, or manual restoration extends the lot’s original expiry. One credit submits one user-approved call task to one medical facility selected by the user and is deducted when the execution system accepts it. Transport retries for the same task do not deduct another credit; selecting another facility uses another credit. Unused purchased credits are generally not refundable for customer-requested cancellation after payment. Exceptions include duplicate charges, credits not issued after payment, inability attributable to us to provide the service within validity, and refunds required by law.
6. No guarantee of outcomes
We use reasonable professional care in coordination, but do not guarantee hospital acceptance, visa approval, availability of a particular physician, feasibility of treatment, or any medical outcome. Results depend on condition, physician judgment, hospital policy, law, immigration, and force majeure.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for acts, delays, refusals, clinical outcomes, or additional costs caused by medical institutions, physicians, airlines, lodging providers, payment providers, government agencies, or other third parties. Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages are excluded.
8. Governing law and jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes related to the site or services should first be resolved in good faith. If unresolved, the Fukuoka District Court in Japan has exclusive agreed jurisdiction for the first instance, unless mandatory consumer protection law provides otherwise.
