Required Documents

Application Process

Obtain Required Documents

The hospital issues consultation or appointment documents. When guarantor documents are required, a partner travel agency or administrative scrivener confirms the process based on the visa type.

Apply for the Visa

Submit documents to the Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association to apply for the visa

Travel to Japan for Treatment

Visa is issued and your travel itinerary is arranged

Visa processing time: approximately 5–10 business days
The Medical Stay Visa is for medical treatment, checkups, and related stay purposes permitted by Japanese rules and visa conditions
Stays longer than 90 days require a status of residence
