- How is the Medical Supporter fee calculated?
- Medical fees are remitted directly to the hospital, which issues the invoice in Japan. Medical Supporter adds a coordination service fee on top of the actual medical cost. Actual treatment fees depend on each hospital's quote; a full estimate is provided before signing.
- What does the coordination service fee include?
- Medical record consolidation and bilingual translation, remote Second Opinion arrangement with Japanese physicians, clinic and inpatient scheduling, 24-hour contact line, language summary of exam results, and post-return follow-up coordinated with your local doctor.
- Are there any extra or hidden fees?
- A full quote is provided before signing. Personal expenses such as flights, accommodation, meals, visa, and insurance are paid by the patient; the coordinator can book them on your behalf and itemise actual costs. No price increases after the contract is signed.
Transparent Coordination Service Fee Model
Medical institution fees are paid directly to the institution unless otherwise agreed in writing. Medical Supporter’s coordination fee is 20% of actual medical institution fees, covering record organization, translation, appointments, itinerary support, and administrative coordination.
