On August 10, 2023, Herbert L. Duvivier and others from City of Hope published the results of the TAPUR Phase II clinical trial in the medical journal "Journal of Clinical Oncology." The trial evaluated the effectiveness and safety of KEYTRUDA treatment in patients with advanced cancer characterized by high tumor mutation burden (TMB-H).

The TAPUR trial is designed to evaluate the anti-tumor effects of approved targeted drugs in patients with advanced cancers harboring specific genomic alterations. This report specifically focuses on patients receiving KEYTRUDA.

The primary endpoint was the disease control rate (DCR), and secondary endpoints included the objective response rate (ORR), progression-free survival (PFS), overall survival (OS), and safety.

In this trial, the primary endpoint, the disease control rate, was 31% for colorectal cancer patients and 45% for the rare tissue cohort. Regarding safety, 12 of the 77 patients experienced Grade 3 or higher side effects.

Based on the trial results, Herbert L. Duvivier and others stated that KEYTRUDA treatment showed positive anti-tumor effects in patients with advanced cancers and high tumor mutation burden.
