Supporting International Patients in Japan
Since 2015
Medical Supporter (Shingihou Co., Ltd.) was founded in 2015 and is based in Fukuoka, Japan. We help international patients and families understand the steps needed before seeking care in Japan, including medical records, language support, institution communication, scheduling, and follow-up.
Over the past decade, we have supported patients with medical record preparation, second-opinion arrangements, interpretation during visits in Japan, schedule coordination, and follow-up after returning home. Medical decisions are always made by licensed physicians and medical institutions.

Why Choose Us? The True Value of a Corporate Contract
Legal & Corporate Accountability
Unlike freelance interpreters, we sign formal corporate agreements with hospitals. Whenever coordination is needed during treatment, we assume administrative and legal responsibility on behalf of the patient.
Trusted by the Hospitals
Top Japanese university hospitals such as the University of Tokyo and Kyushu University use strict protocols for international patients. Medical Supporter helps patients enter a reviewable communication path through complete records, translated documents, second-opinion requests, and a corporate contact window.
A Decade of Deep Networks
Flexibility comes from years of accumulated relationships. From Tokyo to Kyushu, we mobilize the most suitable medical resources for each patient’s budget and stage of illness.
Why Japan? Why this work?
Lin Chichuan
Representative Director (CEO) / Shingihou Co., Ltd.
I grew up between Taiwan and Japan, switching daily between two languages and two healthcare cultures. Over the years I noticed one thing: when families face a serious illness, the greatest pain is not the lack of resources, but not knowing where to find them, how to ask, or whether they are allowed to ask.
I founded Medical Supporter so that no family has to walk the cross-border medical path alone. We do not promise cures, and we do not exaggerate outcomes — but we do promise this: every family that reaches us receives honest information, a clear set of options, and a coordinator who will not disappear along the way.
— Lin Chichuan

Why Fukuoka?
Fukuoka is Kyushu’s transport hub, only 2.5 hours by air from Taipei, Seoul, and Hong Kong. The city is home to leading research institutions such as Kyushu University and Fukuoka University, making it the most natural entry point into Japan’s medical system for Asian patients.

Compliance & Certification Record
"Medical Supporter was formerly dual-registered with Japan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as an international medical visa guarantor (Registration No. B-066). While we have since transitioned into a more agile independent medical consulting firm, the rigorous national-level standards we once upheld remain at the core of our service DNA."
