Lymphoma: Analysis of Adcetris plus CHP (A+CHP) Study Results
Medical Supporter — Information Notice
This article is a summary of international medical information and is not medical advice; it cannot replace the diagnosis or treatment plan of your attending physician. The medical technologies, drug information and clinical data presented here are compiled from public literature and official statements of Japanese medical institutions; the applicability and outcome of any therapy vary with each patient and must be assessed individually by a qualified physician.
For decades, CHOP has been the standard for peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). Adcetris (Brentuximab Vedotin) in the A+CHP regimen was evaluated against CHOP in CD30-positive PTCL in the ECHELON-2 trial.
1. Data from ECHELON-2
The investigators reported that A+CHP had a longer median Progression-Free Survival (PFS) compared to standard CHOP (48.2 months vs. 20.8 months) and reported overall survival data.
2. Pathological Accuracy in Japan
Successful application of the A+CHP regimen depends on precise CD30 expression testing. Pathological testing and clinical assessment help physicians determine whether the regimen is appropriate for an individual patient. Medical Supporter facilitates access to these oncology resources in Japan.
