From September 9-12, 2023, Daiichi Sankyo presented results at the World Conference on Lung Cancer held in Singapore on the efficacy and safety of anti-B7-H3 antibody drug DS-7300 in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial for advanced small cell lung cancer patients with multiple prior treatment histories.
The trial also enrolled other advanced solid tumor patients with multiple prior treatment histories. The primary endpoints included dose-limiting toxicity, safety, and anti-tumor efficacy. Analysis results for the small cell lung cancer cohort showed that among the 21 enrolled patients, the objective response rate was 52.4%, with 1 complete response and 10 partial responses. The median duration of response was 5.9 months, the median progression-free survival was 5.6 months, and the median overall survival was 12.2 months.
Regarding safety, the findings were consistent with the safety profile observed in existing clinical data. No new adverse reactions were identified in this trial. The incidence of grade 3 or higher adverse events was 36.4%, with 1 case of drug-related interstitial lung disease classified as grade 2.
Based on the trial results, Daiichi Sankyo stated in its press release that it will continue conducting Phase II clinical trials targeting advanced small cell lung cancer patients based on these results and accelerate the development of this drug.
