On May 16, 2019, Dr. Iwata of Riso Clinic was interviewed by a well-known local newspaper in Gunma Prefecture. In the interview, Dr. Iwata discussed various approaches to relieving knee pain — from surgical treatments to health supplements — offering patients a range of options. He also published a book titled "How to Keep Your Knees Young," hoping to help those suffering from knee pain.
Dr. Iwata not only performs artificial joint surgeries at hospitals across Japan, but also established the "Lower Back and Knee Pain Medical Team Research Institute" in 2009. Through collaborative exchanges with specialists in different fields — including acupuncturists and judo rehabilitation therapists — combined with his own experience and knowledge, he provides patients with a broader range of treatment options.
Dr. Iwata stated: "Although joint pain does not pose a threat to life, it significantly affects quality of life. Never endure joint pain — seek medical attention as soon as possible to identify the cause."
