(Gastric Cancer) Nivolumab (Opdivo) Plus Ramucirumab (Cyramza) as Second-Line Therapy: NivoRam Phase 1/2 Study

At the American Society of Clinical Oncology Gastrointestinal Cancers Symposium (ASCO GI 2019), held in San Francisco from January 17–19, 2019, results from a Phase 1/2 clinical trial evaluating nivolumab (anti-PD-1 antibody) plus ramucirumab (anti-VEGF antibody) combination therapy as second-line treatment for advanced gastric cancer were presented.

The 6-month progression-free rate for this combination as second-line therapy in advanced gastric cancer patients was 37.4%.

Dr. Hiroki Hara analyzed the results and concluded that patients showed good tolerability to adverse events and favorable anti-tumor activity with this combination regimen.
