Keytruda (pembrolizumab) combined with trastuzumab and fluoropyrimidine- and platinum-containing chemotherapy is approved for the first-line treatment of adults with locally advanced unresectable or metastatic HER2-positive gastric or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) adenocarcinoma. This approval was based on results from the KEYNOTE-811 Phase 3 clinical trial, which demonstrated significantly improved overall survival (OS) and progression-free survival (PFS) in the Keytruda combination arm compared to trastuzumab plus chemotherapy alone.
